Wow, I like this question very much.
1. Cars. Oil prices are sky-high, roads are just clogged as a public toilet, toxic fumes will kill once you get out of your house without wearing your gas mask, and car manufacturers have run out of money and employees due to mismanagement and budget deficit.

2. iPod. Because Steve Jobs said so, and marketing dept of Apple are just so awesome, we'd go loco for the next craze.

3. Paper. Demmit, with the rate the human race consumes everything in its pace, we'd be running out of things to write on. Imagine a world without POST-ITS?! aaaaaaaaaaaaghhhhh!!
