Product Review: Brainwavz Audio

As an audiophile, music is a great part of my daily routine. Whether I’m travelling to and from work, or just staying at home and chilling out to some tunes. I can’t imagine myself not hearing at least a song in a day!

That’s the main reason why I got so excited to have received a sample product to review wherein I can test and use for regularly: Brainwavz earphones!

I am not a fan of branded items that are ridiculously priced. I tend to go for the best quality for the friendliest price tag. I have only used earphones that comes with the phones that I had (i.e.  iPhone, samsung) plus a headphone. I only bought a generic earphone years ago as a temporary replacement, and that was it.

The Brainwavz In Ear Noise Isolating headphones tick the main checklist for me. Albeit a new product name in the crowded earphone queue, it will make the other brands and competitors a run for their money.

It comes in a proper quality package. The built is sleek and sturdy with metal housing. I prefer it as it is, simple and minimal and yet easy to style around. It comes with a flat cable, and worn over the ear. Why? Apparently that’s where the magic of music isolation works.

It comes with a semi-hard carrying case, multiple tips for various ear types and shapes. After tinkering and checking out the badboy from the box, I’ve popped it in my Galaxy S4 and via Spotify listened to various genre of music. But I decided to start with the former 5-piece boyband 1 Direction, as Zayn Malik decided that it was enough already. It was pure dedication.

Here’s my take on the Brainwavz S1:

Pros:
  • The flat design does prevent or minimise tangled wires! Imagine all the times we’ve all spent untangling nasty wires.
  • Comfortable wear
  • Winning price tag. For its nearest challengers on the same bracket of price, this will emerge as the champion. It could really make some noise [pun intended]!

Cons:
  • The markings of R and L are very crucial for any user, and having difficulty reading or finding them will be very frustrating. Their markings are microscopic! Hoping there will be a future update on that aspect.
  • Over the ear style will take some time getting used to it, as I wear eyeglasses over the ear so I had to make some adjustments.

On a final note, overall this product has been a joy to have and to use. For the current price it has now, it will be a favourite in the future amongst audiophiles.

Brainwavz could be making serious waves in the music earphone business! Please do check out these badboys here: http://www.amazon.com//dp/B00G4UQ6U8.
